Hilo
Hilo has a proper sense of historical perspective; some new buildings are built to look old and blend in with the rest of the town. This Hilo McDonald's is a good example of this building ethos.

Another good example of the building code is local grocery chain KTA's downtown Hilo location. The side of the grocery also features some social realist meets ancient Hawaiian murals (below).

Banyan Drive, where most large hotels are located, has trees planted by Babe Ruth, Amelia Earhart, FDR, and Nixon. Click here for More.

And another big tree... this huge Banyan tree is on the inland side of Waiakea Pond. Located in the 800 block of Kilauea St. (near the new Federal courthouse).

Hilo Natural Health Clinic

Therapeutic massage can be a powerful tool in helping relieve chronic pain and restoring the body to the way it was meant to be. At our clinic, this is done in a relaxing environment where you can listen to the birds and enjoy the ocean breezes while you take a moment to be good to yourself.
