This beach is generally calmer than surrounding beaches
on the coast. The water is clear and blue, the
bottom is sandy well into the water.

Parking is on hotel grounds. Limited spaces provided
on a first come, first served basis.
When the lot is full you will not get past this gate.

Easy path from parking lot.
Restroom Facilities

Few shady spots on this beach.
Most shade is located near the path.

The public has access to the beach bar and restaurant.
Lunch from 11:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Includes children's menu.
The hotel does not rent chairs, snorkel gear, or other beach items.

Directions: Head north from Kona on Hwy.19 to approx. mile marker 68. Turn
left at the Mauna Kea hotel sign.
Be sure to get there early as beach access parking is limited.
