* Black and white sand beach in front of Kona Village Resort
* Good for swimming, sun bathing. Mediocre snorkeling.
* Public access from Kona Village is unavailable while the resort undergoes renovations. Access from Four Seasons.
* The Four Seasons still runs stand up paddling and snorkel boats for its guests out of the bay, which is a short walk from their hotel.
* Turtles often visit beach; please do not touch!
Directions: Head North from Kona Airport on Highway 19 / Queen Ka'ahumanu Hwy. About 6 miles from the airport, turn left on Ka'upulehu Drive (2nd left after Kua Bay).
Head straight, towards the Four Seasons Hualalai Resort (Kona Village access is unavailable during renovation). Stop at the guardshack for a pass; they will direct you to the South public lot, near Kukio. From the South / Kukio lot, Kona Village Beach is a 10-15 minute walk. There is also a North public access lot near the Four Seasons resort. Follow the drive through the resort to the North public parking lot. Remember the resort is private property, so abide by their rules.
