* Manmade beach with small, protected sandy cove
* Popular place for families with small kids
* No snorkeling, no swimming beyond the cove. No lifeguards; as usual, exercise caution around the ocean.
* Has both sandy and grassy areas
* (Nice) Restrooms & shower, public access parking lot
* Limited number of parking stalls; one in, one out when lot is full.
* Adjoining South end of Kukio Beach

Directions: Head North from Kona Airport on Highway 19 / Queen Ka'ahumanu Hwy. Just under 6 miles from the airport, turn left on Kukio Nui Drive (next left after Kua Bay).
Stop at the guardshack for a pass; they will direct you back and to the right. Follow the drive through the Kukio neighborhood to the public parking lot. From the lot, Kikaua point is a short walk.
Can also access from South end of Kukio Beach.
